On the day Delilah Moore was released from prison, it rained heavily
She walked out of the prison gate, wearing tattered short sleeves and limping. Her dry, yellow hair was plastered to her face by the heavy rain, and her shriveled, yellowed face was covered in mumerous scars. With empty and lifeless eyes, she stared ahead, unsure of where to go or what to do.
It had been five years, and looking at the scene outside, she suddenly had a feeling as if she had traveled to another world.
She dragged her leg and tried to move forward, but she forgot that one of her legs was Larme. Suddenly, she stumbled and fell hard to the ground.
Just as she was struggling to get up, three pairs of shiny leather shoes sinddenly appeared in front of her.
Her body stiffened in place, and she began to tremble uncontrollably. Her hands tightly squeezed her palms, and after a while, she slowly lifted her head, her gaze inching upwards. Three famillar yet strømpe faces invaded her sight.
They were all her childhood friends,
Once, they all loved her because of her sister and treated hier well
Now, it was also them who pushed her into hell together.
It was her subconscious reaction.
But the next second, a strong force pressed down on her back, and she was forcefully pinned down in the mud by a group of bodyguards without any
dignity
In boundless four, three men approached her step by step with umbrellas, standing high above her. Julian Nelson’s leather shoes ruthlessly crushed her
hand hones
Delilah cried out in pain, instinctively trying to pull her hand back, but the person only pressed hander
“Delilah, you haven’t even redeemed all your sins, where do you want to escape to?”
Her face turned pale suddenly, and her mind was filled with only one thought.
Her hell began!
d to protect me!
She gritted her teeth and said, word by word, with great difficulty, “I didn’t kill my sister! She died to protect me!
As a horse and course voice came out, Julian furrowed his brows and looked down at the woman on the ground with lowered eyes.
Five years had passed, and the girl who used to wear a white dress and cautiously followed behind him, now had her face covered in scars, her whole body emaciated, and her left foot twisted in a strange way as if it was useless.
He took a step forward involuntarily, and Delilah began to tremble uncontrollably. She curled up further backward, completely devoid of the courage she had once mustered to greet him
Astrange feeling flashed through his mind, but then he remembered whom she had killed, and that feeling of strangeness immediately turned into batred!
A murderer, no matter how much she suffered, was not enough to atone for her sins!
“Wasn’t it you who killed her? Do you think I would believe that?”
Julian sherred, lifted his head slightly, and gestured to his bodyguard to hold her down. The bodyguard then stuffed her whole person into the car.
The car raced all the way, and the green plants outside the window became increasingly sparse.
As she looked at the Increasingly unfamiliar scenery, Delilahi felt more and more uninsy, tightly gripping the fabric on her legs
Before she could react, the driver abruptly slammed on the brakes. In the next second, her whole body was yanked down and dragged all the way to the cliff by the seaside. Then, with a sudden tuss, she was forcefully thrown onto the ground.
Dylan Turner walked up to her, and a cold, stem voice echoed in her ear
“Do you still remember this sea?”
Under the gloomy sky, huge waves surged with roaring sounds, Bercely crashing against the rocks, creating massive splashes like ferocious beasts tearing and biting, attempting to devour ber beneath the sea.
Her face turned even paler, and the painful past swept through her mind like waves.
She was the youngest daughter of the Moore family, but she had always been neglected by her parents since she was little. Her parents always gare
delicious food and fun things to her older sister. Even when it thundered, they would only hold her sister and tell stories, and they would often say in front of her that it would be better if they culy had her sister as their daughter
oystory Chapter 1
Growing vgs in soch a biased environment, she did not resent her sister.
Because Joslin Moore was an angel, she was the only ray of light in her dark life.
Her parents didn’t love her, but her sister did. Her sister would always knock on her door when she was sad, sometimes bringing her new and interesting toys, sometimes making her popular desserts, and sometimes carrying her to the hospital in the rain when she had a high lever that wouldn’t go away
she became dependent on her older sister and became like a little tail behind her.
Perhaps because of this reason, the three childhood friends who liked Josalin also loved her unconditionally.
hilian used to stand up for her when she was bullied by her classmates.
Dylan would administer medication to her when she got injured.
Mason Gomez would bring her snacks when she was hungry.
Slowly, she started to fall in love with Julian, but before she could confess her feelings, an unexpected event occurred.
On her sister’s birthday, the cruise ship suddenly caught fire.
Screams and explosions intertwined
Josalin who jumped into the sea tightly held her hand and repeatedly whispered in her ear, telling her not to sleep
The icy seawater repeatedly invaded the wounds on her back, and her consciousness gradually blurred.
Julian, who was dragged onto the lifeboat, pessed out before giving the only lifebuoy to Josalin. However, without hesitation, Josalin put the lifebuoy on her. Before drowning, she grabbed her and gently whispered the last words in her ear.
“Delilah, my dear, please continue to live on in place of me.”
She survived
Josalin, however, died and was buried at sea.
Everyone fished for three days and three nights, but they only managed to retrieve the remains of Josalin who had been devoured by a shark.
Everyone said that she killed her sister, that she took away the only lifebuoy, and took away the only hope of survival.
The three childhood friends and her parents hated her ever since, and together they sent her to prison for five years.
When she first entered the prison, she knelt on the ground, repeatedly begging and pleading for herself, saying that she did not cause her sister’s death. She did not snatch her sister’s lifebuoy, it was her sister who saved her life. Her sister exchanged her life for hers.
No one believed it.
Each of her defenses only brought about deeper retaliation from them.
She lived a life worse than death during her five years in prison.
The inmates, under the guidance of three childhood friends, tormented her using various methods.
In the spring, they made her eat bread mixed with sand and stones. In the summer, they made her sleep wrapped in thick blankets. In the autumn, they made her stay awake for twenty–four hours, and in the winter, they made her go out to shovel snow wearing wet clothes.
Five years passed and she already gave up defending herself. She just wanted to finish serving her sentence quickly and then live a good life according to her sister’s will.
Never in a million years did she expect that, just after being released from prison, she would be caught by them again.
It was obvious that they were not planning to let her go.
