Upon hearing this, Zander’s suspended hand came to a halt in mid–air, and he looked at joyce with a gloomy expression.
Joyce looked at the mess in front of her, with a mocking expression on her face,
Faced with the discussions of the people around her, Shayla’s face turned red, and she only focused
on shouting at Joyce.
“It’s all because of your stubbornness. If it weren’t for you, how could I have possibly lived so miserably?”
Although she could have lived a carefree life in Otraria relying on her family background, Zander mercilessly froze her account, leaving her with only the pocket money given by Ruby to sustain her
life.
“Because of me? Who was it that looked down on me, mocked me? Just take a look at who sent you to Otraria. You can’t even figure it out yourself, yet you blame me for it,” Joyce said coldly, “Shayla, did you leave your brain at Otraria?”
After hearing Joyce scold her for being naive, Shayla got up and continued to throw a tantrum.
“Enough!” Zander glared at Shayla. His tone filled with anger. “Haven’t you had enough of
Otraria?”
“Zander!”
“You yelled at me for this woman? What do you like about her anyway! She’s ugly, short, and has no
parents…”
“Snap!”
Joyce gave her a hard slap.
“Even without parents, I am still much better than scum like you!”
She turned to Zander. Her tone icy.
“Zander, don’t let your crazy dog come out and bite people!”
Zander clenched his fist and gave his secretary a dark look as he gave his instructions.
“Pedro, took her to the hospital.”
Pedro did not hesitate and immediately rushed forward, forcefully covering Shayla’s mouth.
Joyce,” Zander said with guilt in his eyes, “I’m sorry…”
“Mr. Norton, did you mistake your target?” Joyce said coldly, glancing at Philip. “This is the Floyd

family’s banquet.”
Philip had already heard about what had happened.
He didn’t give Zander any eye contact, but instead asked Joyce and Audrey if they were okay.
“Are you guys okay?”
He turned to Zander only after confirming that they were unharmed.
“Mr. Norton, please go and talk to my assistant about the compensation for what just happened.”
Zander didn’t return to the Norton family until dawn.
As soon as he stepped into the house, the nanny saw him coming back and hurriedly ran up, anxiously saying, “Mr. Norton, please go to the living room quickly and see, Miss Norton is being
scolded by Sir Norton…”
Zander stepped into the living room, where Shayla was kneeling on the ground with a few handprints on her face.
On the other side, on the sofa.
Ruby hung her head and silently wept, while Ronald Norton held a whip in his hand, glaring at
Shayla with anger on his face.
“You have been spoiled and unruly these years! How dare you offend Joyce and the Floyd family!”
The Norton family, with overseas business as their main focus, Ronald was often away from home,
and Ruby took care of all the household chores.
He just returned to his home country this year.
After listening to the butler’s account of what they had done over the years, Ronald’s vision darkened, and he almost fainted!
“If you didn’t understand manners, you would stay in Otraria for the rest of your life!”
“Dad!” Shayla cried out sharply, and Zander quickly stepped forward to intervene for her.
“Dad, my sister was just impulsive for a moment…”
“Impulsive? At this age, you still act without thinking! You’re not qualified to say that! All understand is the love between children!”
Ruby immediately spoke up to dissuade.
“Ronald–”
Ronald turned his head and pointed at her again.

Knowing that his son, whom he had nurtured with all his heart, had been hospitalized twice due to car accidents caused by love affairs, and was constantly clamoring to commit suicide, Ronald’s
suppressed anger surged up again.
“They both don’t understand, and you also blindly interfere. A grown man wants to end his life because of a woman, let him go if he wants to! The Norton family has so many other children, why must they delay a girl’s future? Your daughter is the same, at this age she is still doing all sorts of nonsense, she doesn’t understand how to respect the elderly and love the young! Do you even know how to educate your children?”
Just as Zander was about to speak, Ronald silenced him with a single glance.
