Entering the memorial hall, Joyce saw a weary Ronald and a motionless Zander on the wheelchair.
She stood in front of the statue of Ruby, deeply bowed and offered chrysanthemums, and then
pondered for a long time.
She had a love–hate relationship with Ruby.
If gratitude is mentioned, Ruby, however, let her three years of youth flow away.
If we talk about complaints, Ruby had also supported her, enabling her to continue her studies.
But since the person is already gone, the past events have also passed.

“Ronald, please take good care of yourself.”

Shayla cried so hard that she almost fainted, with two prison guards tightly holding onto her from
behind.
The condolences ended, and the guests left one after another.
“Joyce.”
voice called out to her, Joyce turned around and saw Zander standing alone in the rain. “Can you
walk with me for a while?”

Audrey was full of worry and had already prepared herself to refuse.
But Joyce still nodded slightly.
In the pouring rain, she walked alone with an umbrella beside Zander.
The butler held an umbrella for Zander while pushing the wheelchair.
“Joyce, I was homeless.”
Mother passed away, sister was imprisoned, and he lost both of his legs.
My father used to immerse himself in the company every day, even leaving hastily for funerals.
Joyce silently looked at him. She had no words to say.
There had been too much indifference accumulated between them, to the point where there would be no other way of getting along.
Zander realized this and chuckled self–deprecatingly, “How nice it would be if we could start over.”
He would definitely have loved her with all his heart from the very beginning.
He wouldn’t have ended up in such a miserable state either.
Unfortunately, there was no chance for regrets.
“Zander.”
The rain was loud, and for the first time, he clearly heard Joyce’s words.
“Life cannot be relived, no matter what, we can only move forward.”
This is the third year after their divorce, and they can finally have such a peaceful conversation.
“That’s it, let’s part ways amicably.”
She had said it before, but he didn’t understand the deeper meaning in her words at that time.
Joyce closed her umbrella and walked outside, not knowing when the rain had stopped.
