Chapter 8
Laze was surprised for a moment.
Then without hesitation, he took my hand.
Teburnan boys were indeed passionate.
In the fourth month of staying in Teburn, I decided to go back.
I wanted to take Laze to see my hometown. I didn’t know
would ever go back again.
Laze pushed the luggage and walked beside me. I talked to him about my past as we walked out.
He listened attentively.
Suddenly, someone called out to me from behind.
“Harriet? Is that you? Weren’t you dead?”
The three questions showed his confusion.
I turned around to see where the voice came from.

It was one of Bradley’s friends.
He used to look down on me, saying I wasn’t good enough for Bradley, and always tried to pair him with Amber.
I calmly replied, “Silt, you’ve got the wrong person. I’m not that person you’re talking about.”
Laze instinctively stepped in front of me.
He glared at the man and took my hand, leading me away.
The man tried to stop us, but we walked too fast for him.
I didn’t take Laze to my old house
I chose another property instead.
As soon as we entered, Laze asked jealously, “Harriet, did you and your ex–boyfriend live here?”
He frowned slightly as if thinking about something serious.
1 laughed, “What? Are you jealous?”
1 purposely didn’t answer his question, wanting to see his reaction.
Laze got even more upset. “Harriet”
I smiled and hugged him. “No, he’s never been here. Never. I only brought you here.
Laze immediately cheered up
Just then, a rapić knock on the door interrupted the moment

“Harriet, he sent flowers again,” Laze said.
“Throw them away,” I replied without hesitation.
Bradley wouldn’t give up. He sent flowers and wrote emotional posts on social media.
He cried about how much he loved me and begged for forgiveness.
I felt nothing but irritation.
He even set off fireworks in my neighborhood in the middle of the night.
The police got involved.
As they took him away, he kept shouting my name.
He said, “Harriet, I will win you back. Wait for me. You must wait for me.”
Laze hugged me from behind and pulled the curtains closed.
He said, “Don’t look at him.”
