Chapter 336
After losing Fenwick’s support, Torin’s legs buckled, and he collapsed to his knees.
Maybe it was because his numbed legs hadn’t fully recovered, or maybe it was his mind, subconsciously resisting the coffin in front of him.
“No, I have to see her. I must.”
In that moment, Torin, using the last of his strength, pressed his palms to the ground and crawled inch by inch toward it.
But no sooner had he gotten close to the inner circle than he was stopped by two suited bodyguards, who coldly uttered, “No entry. Keep back.”
“No entry? How could they say that to me?” Torin shouted in protest.
“I’m Elysia’s brother–her real brother. How dare you stop me from seeing her!”
The words escaped his lips before he even realized it, and only then did it hit him: the body sealed in the coffin had to be Elysia.
The bodyguards hadn’t even opened their mouths when a shadow flashed in front of them.
Before Torin could register what was happening, he took two heavy blows to the face.
The impact sent stars exploding in his vision, and all he could make out was a tall man in black with golden hair.
“This is for Ava,” the man, Karl, said, his voice icy.
As he spoke, his gaze darkened, and with a cold, threatening tone, he continued, “If she can’t get her revenge, I’ll take your life. And before you die, I’ll make you feel every ounce of pain she suffered.”
With that, he struck Torin across the face again.
The force of the punch was brutal. Torin’s nose exploded with blood, and his once–proud, straight nose now bent unnaturally.
There was no doubt about it: his face was ruined.
Yet Torin didn’t seem to care. Gritting his teeth, he kept pushing forward, dragging his broken body inch by inch toward the coffin.
“So, you’re her ungrateful brother,” Karl muttered with a sneer.
The bodyguards didn’t stop him any longer. Upon realizing who he was, they started kicking and shoving him like a dog.
Torin glanced down at the marks of their shoes on his body but ignored them, crawling stubbornly forward.
When he was only fifteen feet away, Valeria turned her head, her gaze filled with disdain as she looked at him.
A sudden bang echoed.
With that sound, the coffin was pried open.
As Valeria bent over to lift the body, Torin froze. His eyes widened in shock, and his body trembled uncontrollably.
He saw it. He saw it with his own eyes.
Lying in Valeria’s arms, pale and lifeless, her arms covered in bruises, was the sister he had been desperately seeking for days.
He had come, but Elysia… she would never open her eyes again. She would never speak to him again. She would never hold a paintbrush, sing, or laugh again…
She was dead.
A bitter laugh escaped Torin’s lips as he spat blood.
The pain hit him like a sword piercing his chest, suffocating him with each breath. Tears, mixed with the blood on his face, fell to the ground, a steady stream of agony.

Chapter 336
The impact of seeing her–seeing his sister’s body in Valeria’s arms–was far more jarring than anything he had ever imagined.
Blood kept pouring from him, the sensation almost self–inflicted, as if he might collapse at any moment. But deep down, a stubborn resolve still burned in him, a faint hope that kept him going.
The robot…
But before he could do anything, he had to get Elysia’s body back. It couldn’t fall into the wrong hands.
“Give her back to me!” he screamed, crawling desperately toward Valeria.
But then, something changed once again.
Another shadow flashed across the scene–but this time, the target wasn’t Torin. It was Valeria.
A figure in a black robe moved with swift grace, easily knocking Valeria thirty feet away and catching Elysia’s body with expert precision.
The force of the motion tore her outer robe, and suddenly, a face that everyone knew so well came into view.
A collective gasp echoed through the crowd.
Even Valeria, who had just been thrown aside, paused her revenge to look at the newcomer.
“You… Elysia? Is that really you?” Valeria asked, her voice trembling.
She had been so focused on the coffin earlier that she hadn’t noticed the livestream. But now, she could see clearly that the person before her looked just like Elysia–except for one thing.
The strength of the person in front of her was unnatural. And the black robe that had fallen to the ground… it was eerily similar to the one worn by the one who sealed the teacher’s coffin.
“No, you’re… Bessent?” Valeria whispered.
“Bessent? This is my sister. My sister, Elysia. I’ve come for you. I found you…” Fenwick cried out, pushing through the crowd, his face lit up with excitement.
In his eyes, there was only Elysia, standing before him. He couldn’t even see the body in her arms anymore.
After all, there was a replacement, wasn’t there? A new Elysia who could accept his apologies, forgive him, and give him peace. A robot Elysia that could take the place of the real one.
That was why he had asked that question earlier, during the livestream.
Fenwick said, “Elysia, come home. We’re going home…”
Fenwick reached out his hand, stepping toward Elysia, his voice soft and pleading.
But Karl, standing to the side, suddenly realized something and murmured softly, “Bessent… it’s not human. Bessent is Ava’s cloud account.”
So… Ava was still alive…
“Goodbye,” Elysia said softly, turning to walk toward the stone railing at the edge of the cliff.
Just a few more steps, and she would be at the steep drop of almost seventy degrees.
“No. You’re not going anywhere. Leave Elysia’s body behind!” Caellan shouted, charging forward and grabbing onto her leg.
Elysia tilted her head, narrowing her eyes in disdain as she replied, “I am Elysia. But she’s already dead. She’s no use anymore, isn’t she??
There was a bitterness in her words, a mocking tone hidden deep beneath.
Caellan’s heart dropped. This was the clearest sign–this was not the real Elysia. No matter how much Elysia might hate him, she wouldn’t look at him like that. She wouldn’t say something like that.
“You’re not Elysia. She’s dead. You’re just a fake,” Caellan said, his voice filled with certainty.

Chapter 336
But to his surprise, the first person to object wasn’t the person standing before him, but Fenwick behind him.
“You fool, don’t speak like that. How could I not know who Elysia is?” Fenwick snapped, his face contorted in anger.
“Elysia, don’t be upset. Caellan’s always like this. Just come here. Give the useless body to the funeral home, and then…”
“Then I’ll take you home. We’ll live like we did when we were kids. I’ll push you on the swing–you loved that, didn’t you?”
“Okay? Please?”
Fenwick’s voice trembled by the end, his body shaking, his fear palpable.
But Elysia’s response sent a chill down everyone’s spine.
“Too bad… the one who loved swings wasn’t me. Because I’ve never sat on a swing.”
Elysia laughed, her tone almost cruel. If you asked her what her favorite thing was… it would probably be running through the mountains to gather herbs, smelling the wildflowers as she went.
Her words froze everyone in place.
After all, the first scene in the livestream had been Elysia on a swing. But now, she was saying she had never sat on one.
Was she really Elysia?
Stellan, watching from the cable car, wanted to know the answer too. But right now, his only concern was what she was planning to do with Elysia’s body… and where she would take it.
Even if this robot was Elysia, she wasn’t the sister he wanted. His sister was the one behind her.
Stellan turned his head, his gaze filled with pure love, a kind of deep satisfaction and longing for his creation.
But in that instant, an earth–shattering sound pierced the air.
