“If anyone needs to leave, it should be those who disrespect others, don’t you think!” Lila whispered to me, smiling triumphantly
“Definitely.” I grinned back, feeling the tide turn in my favor. “This is turning out better than 1 hoped!”
Poppy’s face soured, and she glanced around, feeling the weight of others‘ opinions. “This isn’t over,” she said defiantly, glaring at me one last time before spinning on her heel and stalking away.
“Good riddance!” I shouted after her, feeling a rush of adrenaline.
“Joanne!” Silver grabbed my shoulders, a proud grin on her face. “You did it! You stood your ground!”
“I can’t believe that just happened” Mia added, laughing. “You were amazing!”
“Thanks, but I didn’t do it alone.” I replied, looking around at the Alphas. “I couldn’t have stood up like that without all of you supporting me.”
“You deserve to be treated with respect, Alpha Jeremy said with a nod. “And don’t forget that. You have the strength of your pack behind you.”
“Yeah! You have to keep reminding Collins of that!” Lila added, her voice full of mischief. “Let him stew in his guilt”
“I will.” I said, my heart pounding with excitement. “Tonight is about claiming my place!”
