Chapter 21
Joanne’s POV
“Did you see that? She looked like I just slapped her?”
“Joanne! You were amazing!” Silver said, grimming widely. “You stood your ground like you should have and all those Alpha’s coming to your aid! It’s been one hell of a party already.”
“Seriously, she didn’t see that coming! Mia added, giggling “Poppy’s face was priceless!”
“Poppy was about to blow a fuse!” Lila laughed. “I love how you handled that?”

As we walked. I noticed Poppy still fuming. “I can’t believe you just laughed in her face!” she shouted at me from across the room.
Maybe next time, learn to be respectful” I shot back, feeling my confidence soar.
“Respect From you? You’re nothing but a forgotten promise!” she retorted, crossing her arms defiantly
“Gurss someone’s still bitter!” I yelled back, my heart racing with adrenaline.

you think attacking her will make it better!” Collins countered, shaking his head. “Think about how foolish you look right now!”
“Foolish! I’m the one who’s standing up for what I believe” Poppy declared, frustration evident in her voice.
“Standing up? More like digging your own grave!” I called out, an amused smile on my face.
“Joanne, stop it” Collins yelled, his voice sharper than I expected. “Why can’t you just stay out of this?”
“Stay out of it! This is my life, too!”
Puppy crossed her arms tighter, her expression turning icy. “You think you can

“Waltz in! I’ve been here the whole time!” I shouted back, unfazed. “I’m not going anywhere. Get used to it! You were the one came from nowhere to Like everything I had and now, you are the one flinging insults at me.”
“Are you really going to keep this up?” Collins glared at me. “You don’t get to stir up trouble just because you feel rejected.”
“Rejected? Please! You made your choice!” I replied, shooting daggers in his direction. “I’m not responsible for your decisions!TM
“Enough!” Poppy yelled, her frustration boiling over. “You need to be thrown out of here!”
“Throw me out! Oh, that’s rich coming from you!”
“I sneered.
“I’m serious! You have no right to be here!” Poppy exclaimed, wanting to make a scene.
“Do you really think anyone will back you up on that?” Silver sakl, standing firmly beside me. “You’re just making a fool of yourself! You should go ut down!
“Sit down? In my own party?” Poppy shouted, glancing around as she realized eyes were on her. “This is unacceptablet”
“Not nearly as unacceptable as your behavior,” another Alpha chimed in, frowning deeply. “You should be ashamed”

“I’m someone who respects the Silver Moon Pack and its members, the Alpha replied firmly

Chapter 21
Poppy cast a glance back at Collins, who stood frozen, looking increasingly uncomfortable. “You all don’t understand! She doesn’t belong here!”
Joanne pushed through the crowd, smirking as she approached. “I’m starting to think you don’t understand what it means to be here, Poppy. You’re the one creating tension?”
“Creating tension? You’re the one making this about you!” Poppy shot back, voice shaking now.
“Enough!” Collins finally said, putting a hand on Poppy’s shoulder. This isn’t worth it. Let’s just cool down
“Teal, cool down–like you did when you chose hert Poppy yelled, anger lacing her voice. “How can you even stand there while I am being humiliated?”
“I’m not the one humiliating you!” Collins replied sharply. “You’re doing it to yourself!“.
“What’s the matter, Poppy? Can’t handle the heat” I added, unable to resist,
“Keep your mouth shut, Joanne! You think you know everything” Poppy snapped. “You’re nothing without your daddy’s name behind your

“Wow, low blow“” one of the bystanders gasped, clearly shocked by our exchange.
why don’t you go back to your side of the room? Nobody wants to listen to you!” I said, my heart thumping harder.
“If anyone needs to leave, it’s you!” Poppy shouted.
“Come on, let’s bail! This place is turning into a circus” someone else whispered, and I caught a series of chuckles from the crowd.
At that moment, the tension felt like a pressure cooker. I could see the frustration in Poppy’s face; she was losing control of the situation.
“You’re making a fool of yourself, Poppy,” I said, feeling empowered. “Maybe it’s time to reflect on your actions!”
“Shut up!” she yelled, but I only laughed back
“Why don’t you gather yourself and apologize for acting like this?” I suggested. “It might be the right thing to do.”
“I will never-
Poppy began, but Collins interrupted her.
“Then this conversation is over,” he said, shaking his head slowly. “I’m done with this drama. Joanne, I’m sorry for everything. You deserve better than this, always.”
“You can’t fix this, Collins Poppy shouted back. “You made your choice!”
I stepped forward, feeling a surge of confidence. “It’s funny how the tables have turned, right? Maybe this night is about realizing who we are,” I said, addressing the crowd.
“Don’t make it worse that it already is Colliks whispered as he gritted his teeth. There was the bastard I knew. All this was a show of pretence. The bastard
“You don’t need to hide it. Collins. Just tell your wife to leave me be,”
