Chapter 340
AURORA
I reached the hallway. Memories of myself and Dane played in my head. And then the scene I saw last night.
Many thoughts were running in my head as I walked mindlessly like a zombie.
I felt a touch on my shoulder and I jumped. I turned and saw Evelyn by my side. “Hey… I have been calling you, where is your mind?”
I stared at Evelyn blankly, she furrowed her brows. “What is the matter, Aurora?”
I opened my hand and shifted to her pulling her into a hug. My eyes welled up in tears as I held on tightly to her.
Evelyn stood shocked for a while, before she held onto me and rubbed my back.
“It will be fine, Aurora… all will be fine soon.”
Will it? I asked myself.
I wiped my dears with the back of my hand and I pulled back from her.
Chapter 340
Evelyn stared at me, “Are you okay?”

I nodded to her. She sighed and kept staring at me, she could tell that I was lying, I was far from fine.
“Your presence is needed at the council hall,” I nodded and we walked to the council hall.
As we neared, I tried to get rid of my emotions but when I got in and saw Dane sitting in front of his seat, all the bitterness in my heart flooded back inside of me.
I walked up to my seat and Evelyn took hers, I looked around and I saw Joclyn, Piper, Trajan and even Warrick, he looked better and he had removed almost all of his bandages.
Only Evander is not in the room, I believe he was with the kids. right now.
I breathed out and sat down. The meeting started and after we had talked about all that concerns the pack.
Dane stood up. I looked up to him and I wondered what he was about to say. Is he going to tell the pack’s council that he wanted to take Kaida as his Luna?
I shuffled my feet as he looked down at me and our eyes met. He gave me a nod and looked away to the rest of the council members.
“This is both sad and unfortunate,” he began, and I looked up at him once more. “But when a man makes a mistake, he must take

responsibility and make amends, not shy away from his duties.”
The rest of the council members nodded their heads in agreement.
Dane continued, “When a man impregnates a single wolf that’s not his mate, he is meant to marry her according to the laws of our pack.”
My heart seized. I am dead. Dane has killed me.
My eyes watered as I got up my feet. I knew what he was going to talk about. Dane had impregnated Kaida and he was going to marry her. There’s no use for me to be here.
I tried to step away but Dane held my hand and I couldn’t leave.
“Dane let me go… I don’t need to be here,” I whispered to him.
Dane tightened his grip around my wrist as he continued to address the council, “Warrick could you stand up on your feet.”
Warrick stood up, looking confused. What has this got to do with Warrick?
I was about to tell Dane to leave the others out of this when he said, “Alina, come inside.”
“Alina?” I called in shock.
Alina stepped inside the council hall heavily pregnant, everyone except me was awed, seeing her in that condition. I already knew
she was pregnant, because Miles told me.

Alina greeted Dane and the council and then faced her, “Alina… who did you say is the father of your child?”
Alina looked at me, I narrowed my eyes at her because I knew
she was up to no good. She looked around the council hall and when her eye met Warrick she smiled.
Oh no… this can’t be.
Alina looked back at Dane and said, “Warrick is the father of my child.”
Piper gasped as she jolted up to her feet.
“Lie… that is a lie from the pit of hell,” Warrick defended himself as he looked around but no one seemed to be taking him seriously.
I freed myself from Dane’s grip and I walked to Alina, “How can you say that… you have been away from the pack for so long.”
Alina nodded, “I have been away from the pack but not from Warrick, we always meet up when he is on patrol in the woods. and that is how this happened.”
I turned to Piper, she had her brows crossed as she looked at Warrick.
“I swear… I have never touched her… Piper, she is framing me.”

Alina walked forward, “Do not lie to her… Piper had caught us once in the woods right?”
Warrick tried to speak. But the council members started to murmur. His voice was covered as they said, “Yes… this is true… we saw a photo of you kissing her too just yesterday”
Then it clicked, Alina had sent that picture to set the foundation of her lies. She just wants to pin the pregnancy on Warrick.
I turned to Piper. She looked confused, I looked at Dane and he too had a look of confusion on, he turned to me and I looked
away.
I faced Alina, “Where were you ever since, why did you come now when you are so heavy… why didn’t you come when the pregnancy was still early?”
Alina sniffed as she covered her face. “I hid because this is shameful… and also because Warrick rejected us… he told me he wanted to start a life with Piper and that this baby can’t get in the way and he told me to terminate the pregnancy.”
Gasps and murmur filled the air once again. I looked around and shook my head. What would happen now?
“Believe me, all this never happened…”
“Enough!!” Piper thundered as she bumped her fist against the table.
