AURORA
I walked out of the cottage, breathing heavily. I had been in the bathroom, when I heard two women groaning in pain..
I came out to see the pack doctor with two women in labour, there were only two nurses in the hospital. I had to help out with the arrangement and I also carried the babies.
One of the women had delivered twin babies, a boy and a girl. They reminded me so much of Tristan and Seraphina.
I looked around and saw Miles standing in the front of the cottage, he leaned on a pole by the side.
I walked up to him and touched his shoulder. “Miles.”
He turned and raised his brows when he saw it was me, “How may I help you Luna?”
I sighed and first breathed out before I started, “You must have heard of Alina’s return… right?”
Miles shifted where he stood as he nodded, “I did… and that was when I realised that this must have been her plan all along.”

ve come to me for help. I want to assist them in resolving

Miles smiled. “You are always available to help everyone.. that’s what I admire about you.”

I sighed. “To whom much is given, much is expected, I am the luna of the pack afterall… I am just doing my duty.”
“Now… what are we doing?” Miles asked, getting serious once again.
“I need to know, the day you saw Alina give Raven that envelope, and then you followed her, what else did you see?”
Miles narrowed his eyes as he stared into space.” Nothing precisely.”
“Shit… now what do I..”
“Only that I saw a man… yes… the man who was waiting to take her back, it was when she got in the boat, she opened her cloak and I saw her face, she was talking to a man.”
I nodded as I drew closer to him, “Tell me about this man.
Miles shook his head, “It was late… I couldn’t see his face, but he was tall and brooding, with a special kind of tattoo on the back of his hand that I had never seen. It glowed in the moonlight and caught my attention. Tattoos like that were only common with men from Trigon pack”
“Wow,” I exclaimed, “Nice start… Now tell me about this tattoo.”

Miles closed his eyes, as if trying to visualize the image in his mind. He pressed them shut tightly, raising his hand as though he were describing it. “A shield with an eagle on it,” he said.
I pinched my chin as I nodded, “Nice… I will think more about. this and get back to you if there is something else I need, okay?”
“Okay?”
I froze as I heard Dane reply from behind me, I turned to see him staring at me, his gaze darted to Miles and he stared sternly at him.
“Hey, you, what are you saying to my wife?” he demanded, stepping toward Miles. I placed my hand on his chest, stopping him in his tracks.
“Dane… why are you acting like this?” I asked, as I searched his face.
He licked his lips and chuckled, “Maybe because I was in the pack house waiting for my mate whom I wanted to take out for dinner, but then she would rather stay here with this boy, enjoying a conversation with him.”

I looked down at Dane, and I saw he was all dressed up, he looked equally stressed.
I sighed as I grabbed Dane’s hand, “Come with me… I will

Dane chuckled, he took off my arm slowly. “I want to hear it from him instead.”

“Danc please… I just came out and decided to check on Miles, to see how he was doing, working here… actually I was in the cottage, helping the doctor deliver babies.
Dane paused as he looked at me, “Deliver babies?”
I nodded, “Yes… and am done with the conversation, let us go.”
I pulled him by his hand as he walked away from Miles.
I turned back to see him breathing heavily, I could smile at his fear. Why does he fear Dane like this?
“Have you been scaring Miles?” I asked as we got to the pack house.
“Just a few looks to keep him in check, that’s all.” Dane answered innocently, but I knew he was not being truthful.
I kept mute as we walked on.

“Miles is now a good boy… he has changed,” I said as we entered
our room.
Dane closed the door and pulled me up to himself as he pressed his forehead on mine. “I have heard… Now get ready, I am taking you out for dinner.”

He pushed me towards the bathroom and he went and sat on the bed.
I came out of the bathroom to see Dane sitting on the chair anxiously waiting for me.
I looked at the bed and saw he had dropped my blue dress and shoe for me, there was a set of jewellery there too.
“Wear those… it matches mine.”
I smiled as I nodded my head and I picked the dress.
“Done,” I said and walked up to him as I finished.
Dane looked at me, in the tight bodycon short dress and he smirked. “Sexy.”
I dropped my gaze as I pushed my hair out of my face, behind
my ears.
My eyes caught something. And I squinted at it. I grabbed the papers laying on the table and looked at them.
The shield with an eagle on it.
“The Trigon pack had made an all time high in production of cereals this year.”
Dane got up and grabbed my waist as he kissed my neck. “My babe…”

“Where is the Trigon pack?” I asked, cutting him off.

“One of our neighbors, they are quiet and nice… but why are we talking about them? How about we have a quick one before we leave huh?”
Dane kissed my neck and I pressed my palm on his chest as I pushed him back, “Do you have a venue for our date?”
“No…”
“I do…” I said as I opened the door and I walked out.
He furrowed his brow, “Wait… Aurora, where?”
I turned to him with a smile, “Trigon Pack.”
