discovered Ryan Ellison’s secret on the day of our seventh anniversary.
He had a sudden meeting, and I didn’t want to wait idly at the company as usual, so I went to the subsidiary mall.
I tried on several skirts on a whim and had the salesperson put the bill under Ryan’s name.
However, they were instead bought by the young girl who had been following me.
“I’ll take all these skirts.”
The girl blinked her eyes and spoke in a straightforward manner, which was not annoying because she looked artless and innocent.
She looked at the high–end limited editions in my hand and took another step forward. “My boyfriend said that as long as I like it, the price doesn’t matter. Give them to me, and I’ll pay you ten times the price.”
Considering that I had just said about putting the bill under Ryan’s name, the salesperson reluctantly spoke up, “Miss, this lady chose them first.”
I shook my head and didn’t mind.
“She like them. I’ll give them to her.”
This tight and short skirt, which I used to love wearing when I was young, did not match my
aesthetic.

Moreover, just after I had finished my confinement period, the walk–in closet was already filled with the new dresses and clothes that Ryan had specially asked to design for me.
These few skirts were not a must–buy for me, so it was fine to let them go.
As soon as I finished speaking, the girl quickly took over the skirts and smiled at me brightly, saying, “You have a good taste. I like everything you like.”
“They’ll suit me well. These skirts are designed for young people and may not be suitable for you.
She waved a black card with a pattern in front of my eyes and casually threw it onto the salesperson.
“Go and wrap up all the dresses suitable for older women in your store, consider it as my compensation for her.”
I could clearly hear the sharpness hidden in the words, both overtly and covertly.
This is impolite.
I have been in business with Ryan for six years, and I am not a pushover.
But at that moment, instead of having an attack, I fixed my gaze firmly on that black card.
Ryan once wanted to give me an exclusive card as the president’s wife, with a simple sketch of me
and him on it.
However, I found it too much, so he didn’t mention it again.
But on this black card in front of me, the simple sketch with awkward lines and clumsy strokes was clearly Ryan’s handiwork.
After all, the villa’s house number also had an identical small image printed on it.
I would not mistake.
The next second, as if to confirm my thoughts, the salesperson who caught the black card suddenly exclaimed excitedly, “Isn’t this the exclusive black card customized by the president for his wife?”
The surrounding staff immediately rushed up upon hearing the words, excitedly pulling the girl to take photos together, in order to bless her love and marriage to go smoothly.
“I used to hear about the president’s wife, who he cherished a lot. I have never expected to finally meet the lady in person today!”
“It is indeed true that love is like nurturing a flower. Someone has dug up a side profile photo of the president’s wife from earlier years on the internet, and surprisingly, she looks even younger than
before.”
“Hey, who is this woman next to the lady?”
“Some poor woman. She tried on so many skirts but didn’t buy any as if we are not a high–end luxury counter but a market stall. She even said she wants to put the bill under the president’s name. I almost got fooled by her, thinking she was the wife. Look at her clothes, not even a brand label on them. I wonder where she got them from, probably some street stall.”
The absurd scene in front of me made me laugh.
After the company went public, I became pregnant and retired. I never liked to go out with the tit of the president’s wife.
I never expected that someone would actually impersonate me.
I did not want to argue in the noisy crowd.
I only called Ryan.
Why did the exclusive black card end up in the hands of this girl? I needed him to give me an explanation.
The next second, a familiar bell rang.

It was him who acted coquettishly, begging me to record the ringtone saying “Honey, answer the Phone” in a falsetto voice.
My head buzzed.
Turning around, I saw him walking out of the corner restroom, furrowing as he silenced his phone. He then lowered his head and bent down to apologize to the girl who ran past him.
The girl pouted and complained discontentedly.
“Why were you so slow?”
From a distant distance, his voice came through somewhat distorted.
“You can’t blame me.”
“If it weren’t for you starting a fire and not taking responsibility, why would I have to deal with it in the restroom? Just wait and see how I’ll treat you tonight.”
The salesperson who just received me immediately greeted him with flattery.
“Mr. Ellison, just now there was a woman who pretended to be your wife and came to the store to make a purchase. She said she wanted to put the bill under your name. Fortunately, your wife was also present, otherwise…”
Ryan’s face changed suddenly, “Impersonate my wife? Where is that person?”
The salesperson turned around and pointed in the direction where I had just stood.
“Just then… huh, where is the person?”
Ryan withdrew his gaze and menacingly pinched the girl’s red lips, making a “shushing” gesture, lightly touching his phone.
I hid behind the corridor, answering the phone with a complex expression on my face.
“Bella Yates, where were you? I had the secretary go down to pick you up.”
