Chapter 6
Every day revolved around him, caring about what he wanted to eat and drink, and whether he felt
uncomfortable anywhere.
Don’t even mention the opposite sex appearing around me, I rarely even have contact with the same
sex.
So Cameron’s statement was also justified.
Over the years, the effort I put into him was enormous.
It can be said that he had deeply rooted himself in my heart.
Suddenly pulling it out now, it hurt me all over.
Just as I was feeling downhearted, my suitcase was suddenly taken by a big hand.
I looked up in surprise, and it was Jovanny.
Looking at the man who was about to marry me, I felt a mix of emotions in my heart.
Actually, agreeing to Jovanny’s proposal was just to move on from the shadow that Cameron had brought into my life.
Now thinking about it, I did feel a bit sorry for him.
“Let me take you to a hotel first. After all, we haven’t had our wedding yet, so it wouldn’t be appropriate to bring you back to my house like this. Tomorrow, when I proudly marry you, you can openly move into my house.”
The man had a gentle tone and wore a pair of refined gold–rimmed glasses on his face, which covered his confident gaze that made people feel favorable towards him.
My heart felt sour. My mother passed away when I was very young, and my father has been working hard to raise me ever since.
But a while ago, my father also fell ill and left me. For a moment, I found myself without a singles relative in this world.
Even for such a big event like getting married, no one helped me with the arrangements.
On the other hand, Jovanny, since setting the wedding date, spared no effort in arranging various wedding matters for me, remembering every little detail.
Compared to Cameron, they were truly poles apart.
With this in mind, I reached out and took hold of Jovanny’s arm.
Feeling my movement, the man’s eyes flickered with a hint of depth, and then he disappeared
Without a trace.
I would not be trapped in a dysfunctional relationship like Cameron, a scumbag who is not worth my sadness.
On the way back with Jovanny, we chatted a lot.

It was at this moment that I realized his birthday was actually on the same day as our wedding.
Since I knew about this matter, I decided to buy him a gift to celebrate his birthday.
When we arrived at the mall, I was in the middle of selecting a shirt for him when Ryleigh suddenly walked in.
She saw me at a glance and came to my side, twisting her waist. She picked out men’s underwear that was displayed and arranged, lost in her own thoughts.
“Wrap all of these up, I am going to give them to my boyfriend, make the packaging look nice for
me.”
She sounded proud and her eyes seemed to be scrutinizing my expression.
I didn’t bother to pay attention to her little actions and just picked out the clothes I liked by myself.
“Take down the black shirt on the wall for me.”
As soon as the words fell, Ryleigh beside me let out a sneer.
“Such an outdated style, and yet you still display it. Will anyone really buy it?”
After speaking, she stood in front of me and pointed at the black shirt I had just looked at, mocking me unabashedly.
“Some people still like this style now, even my dad doesn’t wear it anymore. It’s really funny.”
I clenched my fist, even though I was filled with anger inside, there was no trace of it on my face. If just looked at her coldly, wanting to see what she was up to.
“Oh, it’s you. I was wondering who had such poor taste to buy this extremely shabby piece of clothing. I never expected it was you…”
Her mocking gaze fell on me, as if it turned into sharp knives piercing into my body.
“Are you thinking of buying clothes for Cameron? Well, let me remind you, he disliked black the most. There isn’t a single black piece of clothing in his wardrobe. Don’t you know?”
Her beautiful big eyes blinked and blinked, but her tone was full of provocation.
