Eighteen Months Later
“This makes zero sense.” Lorcan was seated in Kiefer’s office
at the house while staring at the child in his arms in confusion.
“None.”
“You know what makes no sense,” Genesis grumbled as she drank the juice Kiefer insisted, she drink. “Is how I pushed his oversized head out twelve weeks ago and I’m pregnant again and there are two in here.” She pointed to her abdomen with a grunt. “Last time I got pregnant because Egan brought home the superbug from school and I ended up on antibiotics and it screwed with my birth control. This time, the condom broke.” She glowered at Kiefer. “My body is a wreck.”
“Your body is incredible and superhuman and honestly when you’re pregnant, the three of us can’t get enough.” Kiefer commented.
“Except last time Daddy was gone for two full months in Europe.”
“You were well taken care of and when he came home, he took you to Jamaica for a full three weeks.”

“Explain again why you did the paternity test,” Lorcan was still staring at the three months old boy in his arms.
“Because when Papa came to pick Egan up to take him to Russia last week, Papa made a comment how the baby looked more like you than Kiefer or Tadgh and how the child is fucking massive. The two of them took to laughing saying how it would be hilarious if their son was really their brother. Then they got looking at statistics about vasectomies failing and said it was less than one percent after an original successful test. They decided,” she grumbled, “to see if you were some kind of statistical anomaly. Apparently, my Papa called it and you’re a freak of nature and your weird genetics have passed onto my new son. He’s going to be huge. He’s probably going to be taller than you.”
“He’s definitely going to be Egan’s head of security.” Tadgh rubbed his hands together. “I can’t wait to start training him.”
“He’s an infant!” Genesis growled. “Lorcan, make them stop.”
“I’ve been calling myself granddad.” Lorcan rubbed his eyebrows in confusion.
“Well they tested him and the three of you against his DNA and you are the more likely father, gramps.” Genesis was undeniably cranky. “Get over it.”
At the gramps comment he lifted his head sharply and rebuked her, “do you need to be taken to my room and settled down?”

“Pretty sure it’s how I got into this mess in the first place. I think I’m going to take a vow of chastity.”
Kiefer was still grinning. The ultrasound equipment they’d purchased in the last pregnancy had been put to good use this morning by Eoin. Monica took a pregnancy test this morning as she and Jerren were trying and when it came out positive, she begged to use the ultrasound equipment. On a lark, they convinced Genesis to let them look at her insides to see if she’d
recovered internally after carrying and birthing the ten–pounds at birth baby boy. Eoin’s gasp and hysterical laughter became contagious when Kiefer realized what he was looking at. Genesis hadn’t been laughing at all.
Tadgh sighed dramatically. “You do know though Gen, I want one which is my DNA.”
“We can pretend it your condom which broke.” She grabbed a throw pillow off the sofa and tossed it at Kiefer who laughed at her words. “My first time having sex after the baby came and you broke the condom and now look at where we are. Kiefer, we’re going to have three babies under a year old.”
“We can handle it. We have enough staff, we’ll hire another nanny. Egan is due back next week from his trip to Russia with his Papa and he will be very helpful. Look how helpful he was before he left.”
“He threatened to shoot people with his BB gun if he didn’t get a full night of uninterrupted sleep.” She reminded Kiefer.

witnessed,” Jerren grinned. “At least I know who put the baby in my wife’s belly. Also, we’re normal people and we try to get pregnant. Why are all your kids, surprises?” He ducked from Kiefer’s punch.
Tadgh looked up from his phone, “did you know there have been about twenty cases around the world of fraternal twins with different babies?”
“That’s what happened here,” Genesis nodded seriously. “It’s exactly how it happened and I don’t need to get pregnant again.”
Lorcan lifted the twelve–week–old baby up in the air and grinned, “how much did he weigh at his checkup yesterday?”
“Twenty pounds and four ounces. He’s doubled his birth weight. Most babies do in their first three months.” Despite her words, she was very proud of her chunky monkey baby. He had shocking red hair, bright blue eyes and was so long and pudgy he was wearing nine months old clothes.
“He’s really mine?” Lorcan was settling into the thought.
“Is there any doubt? Your theory about the big boned gene skipping generations was flawed. We all were clearly deranged for believing it.” She looked at Tadgh who was still searching things on his phone, “find out why my milk supply hasn’t dried up. Wouldn’t you think it would dry up if I’m pregnant again?”
Tadgh shook his head, “nope. You’re good to keep nursing and it even says here, you can still tandem once the new baby comes in and your milk will somehow be fit for all for all of them. A

“Yes, it is but if you think I’m nursing three babies when one of them is likely going to be fifty pounds by the time he’s a year old, you’re out of your mind.” She pouted, “though I’ll miss cuddling him. Give him back now.” She wiggled her fingers at Lorcan.
“Do you know,” Tadgh called out again, “the term for babies born less than twelve months apart is Irish twins.”
“They’re already Irish twins,” Kiefer laughed heartily.
Genesis cuddled her son to her and kissed his temple, a bit of mischief rising in her. “How weird is it going to be for you my sweet little boy when you grow up and find out your nephew or nieces shared the same womb as you.”
“He shares their mother so it’s still a sibling.”
“But he can’t call Kiefer and Tadgh Dad because they are technically his brothers.” Genesis argued with Lorcan. “Unless you’re going to forfeit your paternity and let them adopt him.” As the growl from his chest reverberated through the room at her words, she made wide eyes at Kiefer and Tadgh and whispered, “or maybe not.”
“This is very much like the I’m My Own Grandpa song,” Monica giggled from where she curled up in a chair with a book on
pregnancy in her lap, enjoying the confirmation of the fetus in her womb.
“I don’t know this song,” Genesis frowned.
Epilogue
“Me either,” Tadgh commented and he started scrolling his phone for it. He started reading the lyrics aloud and soon he was huffing for breath as he roared with laughter. “Holy shit, Monica’s right. It is exactly like the song.”

“You are all sick,” Lorcan complained. “We are family. Leave it alone.”
“Easy for you to say until the poor kid needs to do his family tree up,” Kiefer was snickering.
“You know,” Lorcan looked at his two sons, irritation coating his features as Tadgh played a Disney version of the song sung by Goofy and it cracked the two grown men up as if they were small children, “it’s only now dawned on me, I could simply name Colm my replacement. Could start training him to take over instead of Kiefer.”
Kiefer laughed, “go for it. My wife is a billionaire Russian Bratva heiress. I could be a stay–at–home Dad to our three kids.”
While Colm made a loud piercing cry, Genesis laughed, “I don’t think he wants Kiefer’s job or maybe he doesn’t want to be stuck with Kiefer home all day.” She rubbed his nose, “I think you can take over the Bratva for mommy. Wouldn’t it cause old Yegor to roll in his grave. Lorcan O’Reilly’s son heading the Sokolov family. Somehow it seems worse than when it was Kiefer’s.”
Lorcan laughed, “it might have him rising from his grave.”
“All of this is funny and stuff,” Kiefer said as he finally settled

7/9 down, “but you know Dad, Gen, this doesn’t change anything for me and Tadgh. We love him like he’s our own. Son or brother makes no difference. He’s one of us. He’s an O’Reilly. He is our blood. We will live and die for him the same way we will for Egan, for those babes in Gen’s belly now and for the one Tadgh is probably going to have to artificially inseminate her with because she’s probably not going to let us touch her again.”
“Well you can touch me now but the minute these parasites are birthed, nobody is touching me again. I’m taking a celibacy
Vow.”
“Like hell you are,” Lorcan leaned over her and kissed her mouth. “I will however be booking an appointment with my urologist immediately.”
“Same,” Kiefer agreed. “The family who snips together stays together?” He laughed as his father smacked him in the back of the head. “Maybe we can get a two–for–one deal.”
“I’m not making an appointment where I can get snipped on sale.” Lorcan snorted. “It’s one of those things you want to make sure is done right regardless of price.”
“Fair point.” Kiefer looked at his wife who was putting the wailing baby to her breast. The way Colm latched on made all three men cringe. “It’s like watching a wildebeest tear into prey.”
“It doesn’t hurt,” Gen shrugged as she rubbed the hair on the baby’s head. “You go ahead and get all you need my little love.”
“We should probably hire a dietician or nutritionist to come in

and talk to the cooks to make sure Gen is getting enough calories. She’s got succubus inside and out,” Tadgh grinned at her.
“She is going to need lots of love and support and attention,” Lorcan agreed, “and we’ll need to step up.”
“I would like to take this opportunity to point out, Dad hasn’t done one overnight yet with the new baby. You are now part of the Dad committee not the grandpa committee.”
“Baths and diapers,” Tadgh added to Kiefer’s comment. “We’ve done our fair share. You’ve been out of the country more the last five weeks than you have been home.”
“Well, that will change. I was allowing you all time to bond with the baby and handling all the business myself,” Lorcan agreed. He kissed the baby’s brow. “I love you little Colm.” He looked into Gen’s eyes, “I love you too. Thank you for him. I was already grateful for him, a grandson but this is special. Never thought in my fifties I’d be a Dad again but here we are.”
“You’re not alone, Dad.” Kiefer squeezed his shoulder. “Like I said, we’re a family. He’s an O’Reilly. He’s no more or less than any other child coming into this world through Genesis.”
“True,” he nodded his agreement. “I’m a fortunate man.”
“I think I’m the lucky one,” Genesis said looking up at the three men who stood encircling her. “One woman with this much love around her? It doesn’t get any better than this.”
