Lorcan O’Reilly

Two days later, Genesis was sitting in the living room alone reading a book she’d pulled from the library. Kiefer, Tadgh, Jerren, and Egan were in the theatre room watching a movie. with Egan, one which Egan was excited to watch and she herself was glad not to have to sit through. She was sure she’d hear all about it for weeks to come but listening to Egan gush was better than watching the entire thing start to finish.
She caught movement at the door as a tall, broad–shouldered red–haired man walked past the door.
Lorcan O’Reilly. He’d been in town since late the night they’d gone to the aquarium before but hadn’t stopped in yet. He’d gone straight to the offices of their pharmaceutical company and then stayed at the penthouse suite there while he went through Kiefer’s scheduled meetings. She thought it was kind of him to step up so Kiefer could spend time with Egan. It was not in the realm of anything she would have expected from him. He never did strike her as a kind man.
He backpedaled, his head turning to see her in the living room
alone.
“Genesis.” His voice was at least two octaves deeper than his twin sons‘ and he was casily three inches taller and thicker and wider all over. He was a massive man. Apparently, he was a genetic anomaly in the family. While most of the men were big and strong, none in their entire family history were reportedly ever the size of Lorcan. “Welcome home. Where is Kiefer and the boy?”

“I don’t know,” she admitted, unsure of where to put her hands as they were trapped between them and opting to flatten them against her stomach.
“Do you remember the time when Moira and I came to visit you and Kiefer in Columbus?”
“Yes.” She couldn’t forget if she tried. She’d gotten turned around in the fancy restaurant with multiple private rooms and heard Lorcan’s voice, so she’d entered the room despite the door being closed only to find him balls deep in a server, her hair bunched in his fist, and he was plowing her from behind. It hadn’t been gentle, and the girl’s mouth and her screams of pleasure were covered by his other hand.
“You watched.”
There was no accusation in his tone, simply a comment, yet she stared straight ahead at the wall opposite them, her head against his shoulder as he continued to hug her tight. She remained silent unsure of what to say.
“I know you watched. Genesis. You were there for a long time before I called out to you. Do you remember what I said?”
She nodded, her cheek scraping the soft cotton of his dress shirt.
“Say it. What did I say?”
“You told me if I was going to be in the room while you fucked to prepare to be fucked. Either get in or get out.” She barely spoke the words.
“You never told anyone.”
