Genesis glared at the woman on the floor at her feet.
“Get up.” She was surprised how cold her tone was and when Laoise looked up at her, an eerie calm covered Genesis’s body. The last time she’d seen this woman, she’d been grinding on Kiefer, kissing him. It occurred to Genesis for the first time, what Laoise did to him, was tantamount to sexual assault. Giving him drugs and taking advantage of him was assault.
Laoise sneered as she realized who was standing in front of her. “It’s you. What a joke. The so–called wife of Kiefer O’Reilly. You do know he only married you to get his citizenship.”
“You know what I know?” Genesis laughed lowly, “he married me, but it took you to drug him for him to even touch you. It burns you inside, doesn’t it, Laoise to know he wouldn’t have touched you and so you needed to wear my perfume, roofie him and then take advantage of him. Then,” she laughed a bit louder, “he was so high he passed out and you couldn’t even seal the deal.”

“Aoife is dead.” Tadgh watched as Laoise paled.
“No.”
“Yes. With all the confirmation of the betrayal you and Aoife made against the O’Reilly name, she deserved to die.” Kiefer held Laoise upright, gripping her chin. “When you pushed my wife down the stairs, Laoise and you kicked her in the stomach while she begged you to help her as she felt our son leaving her body, what were you thinking?”
“I didn’t.”
“Except you did.”
“She’s lying.”
“We recovered the videos from Aoife’s phone, Laoise. All of them. We saw you shove her down the stairs. Do you know why you’re here?”
“You’re going to let her hurt me.”

“Dad,” Genesis called over her shoulder and Nazar stepped into the light, “why don’t you tell this bitch who I am?”
Nazar spoke up, “you are my daughter, Genesis Sokolov. You are the incoming leader of the Sokolov Bratva and my only heir.” Laoise paled when Nazar continued. “I believe you met my uncle and cousin earlier. You should know they are dead. Genesist killed my uncle herself. She shot him in both knees, stabbed him. in the stomach, shot him in the shoulder and then shot him in the head. I was never so proud.”
Laoise stood in front of Genesis trying to be brave, but her knees buckled when Kiefer released her. Genesis watched with a sinister grin. “You sold out our family tonight, Laoise. Do you know what happened because you collaborated with the traitors to the Sokolov family to infiltrate the O’Reilly family? Lorcan was shot, Laoise. My daddy, the man who calls me his princess and who loves me, is currently in surgery because of your duplicity.”
“Daddy?” Laoise scoffed.
“Mm. Daddy, or sir,” she smirked when Tadhg groaned. “What is the problem, Tadgh?”

Kiefer’s phone rang and he answered it on speaker. “Jerren, you’re on speaker. Go.”
“He’s lost a lot of blood. He passed out before we got him to the car. We have his blood banked and we’ll get him loaded up but he’s looking pretty shitty. He came to a couple of times and was looking for Gen. I know he said to send her home but when you’re done killing the bitch I share DNA with, bring her here. He’s going to want to see her when he’s out of surgery.”
“Jerren!” Laoise screamed. “Jerren, it’s me. Laoise. I know you let them take me to scare me and it’s worked. I promise I’ll turn it around. I’ll be good. Please, make them let me go!”
“Fuck you,” Jerren spoke bluntly. “Kiefer, I’m pacing the waiting room. Put me on video so I can watch Genesis beat her to death.”
Laoise staggered backwards at her brother’s cold words. “Jerren, I’m your sister.”

Genesis walked away and grabbed a bat off the table. “Dad, you said my Dad Mak liked to use a bat like this.” She walked to Laoise who tried to run towards the door but was met with a group of the men who’d all come to watch. One of the men grabbed her and shoved her back.
“Bitch. You killed the heir of our family. You don’t get to run,” the man growled.
“Do you remember Laoise how you would have all your fuck toys around holding me down and keeping me from getting away from your abuse? Try to run. Go ahead.” Genesis swung the bat and the scream which came from Laoise’s throat as it connected with her ribcage made Genesis smile. “I really like the sound of your screams, Laoise.”
Kiefer grabbed a chair and straddled it holding his phone up, so Jerren was watching. “I wish I had popcorn!” He called out as Genesis followed Laoise around the room with the bat resting on her shoulder. “Is this what she would do Gen? Follow you around until she caught up to you?”
“Yup.”
Genesis swung the bat again, this time connecting with Laoise’s backside. Laoise fell forward and landed on her knees.
“Please. Stop. I promise. I won’t do anything against the O’Reilly clan again. I swear it.”

then connected it to Laoise’s thigh. The sound of the crack made. Genesis look at her bat. “Oh, I thought the bat cracked but it must have been her bone.”
Laoise was screaming at the top of her lungs, tears streaming down her face.
Genesis walked over to Kiefer as Laoise wailed in the background and sighed, “I kind of wish Egan was older.”
“Why?”
“Because I want him to know. Someday I want him to know his mother was strong enough to take care of the woman who stole his twin from him. I want him to know, his mom, got revenge and it’s acceptable as an O’Reilly, to make someone pay for hurting us.”
“When he is old enough,” Kiefer looked up at her from where he sat, “we will show him the video of this day and let him know you avenged the death of his brother. Now finish this so we can go to Dad.”
Genesis nodded. She walked back over to the table and grabbed a gun and sighed dramatically.
“Laoise, I wanted to take my time tonight. I wanted to torture you the way you tortured me. I wanted to burn holes in your skin while men held you down half naked. Oleg is dead. Yegor is dead. My son is very much alive. You failed Laoise. Kiefer is mine. Tadgh is mine. Lorcan is mine. This whole family,” she stood up and made a slow turn with her arms wide out, “is all fucking mine. Whatever I say or do, these men will always have my back. I’m their queen. You are nothing.”
“Please!” Laoise was screaming as she begged. “Please. Let me go. I promise.”

I am torn between killing you now and going to Lorcan or throwing you back in the dungeon and going to Lorcan.” At the look of excitement on Laoise’s face at the possibility she might make it through the night, she lifted her gun and pulled the trigger and watched as the woman flopped over to one side. “Daddy gave me an order to finish this shit, so I guess I need to do what princesses do and be a good girl.”
Genesis turned to face Kiefer who passed his phone to Tadgh and stood and wrapped her in his arms. Shockingly to Genesis, tears rose unbidden, and she broke a sob as she curled into his
chest.
“Is she okay?” Nazar asked as he approached.
Tadgh answered before Kiefer could. “She’s fine Nazar. She avenged her son’s death tonight. It’s bound to bring up deep emotions. She’s been waiting for this moment a long time. They lost a child and killing this bitch isn’t going to bring him back but it’s sure got to feel good to get even.”
Genesis looked at Nazar with tears on her cheeks, “Tadgh is right. I’m not sad. Not even a little. I’m glad it’s over. I’ve wanted to do that for so long,” she sniffed against Kiefer’s chest.
