Epilogue
“Noelle, stop running around!” I called out, my heart nearly leaping out of my chest as I chased after my daughter.!!
She only giggled in response, her little legs carrying her straight toward Ryan, who was busy making breakfast
“Daddy!” she squealed, flinging herself into his arms.
“Princess,” Ryan said, scooping her up effortlessly, a warm smile on his face.
Across the room, Aiden huffed. “Noelle acts like a baby,” he muttered, arms crossed, but the jealousy in his eyes was unmistakable.
I chuckled and stretched out my arms. “Come here, Aiden.”
He rolled his eyes but trudged over anyway. The moment he was within reach, I lifted him up and spun him around!!
Laughter burst from his lips, his earlier sulk forgotten.
It had been five years since our wedding, and in that time, we’d been blessed with a set of twins Noelle and Alden now three years old. Noelle was a daddy’s girl through and through, while Aiden, despite still being a toddler liked to act like he was years older.
And this? This was life. It was perfect. Fulfilling.
“Madam, your sister is here,” one of the maids announced!
With Aiden still in my arms, I hurried to the door!
“Viviannn!” I squealed, my excitement bubbling over..
“Hey, sis. Vivian greeted with a smile.3
“Aunt Vivi!” Aiden grinned, showing off the gap where his baby tooth had fallen out.
“Hey baby,” she cooed, ruffling his hair.
I stepped back to take her in heavily pregnant, glowing with happiness. Vivian had gotten married just two months after I did, she had a 4 year old and now she was expecting.
“Where’s Fred?” I asked, glancing behind her.”
“With his father. They’re bringing the gifts,” she explained, shifting slightly.
I quickly set Aiden down to help her to the couch.
“Aunt Vivi!” Noelle’s tiny legs carried her as fast as they could toward Vivian &
“Noelle. I told you to stop running!” I scolded, exasperated.
Vivian laughed. “Don’t blame her you were exactly like this when you were little.” Thuffed
“where’s Aiden?” Noelle asked, glancing around.
I smiled knowingly. “I’m sure he went to meet Fred.”
Right on cue, Luke walked in with Fred and Aiden trailing behind him.
“Hey,” he greeted
“Hey, Corbin.” I still wasn’t used to calling him Luke
Ryan entered a moment later, balancing a tray stacked with fruit plates.
I raised a brow. “Sometimes I forget you’re a wolf with supernatural strength.
Ryan shot me a wicked look before leaning down to whisper. “You don’t forget in the bedroom.”
Heat rushed to my cheeks, and I swatted his arm.
“For God’s sake, get a room,” Vivian groaned, popping a cherry into her mouth.
I laughed, shaking my head.
This was it. This was home. This was exa
exactly where I wanted to be
