Mark and my divorce was the gossip of the
town. Our love used to be so envied, and now
our end was equally sensational.
Mark gave me everything that he could give
me, except the house that we lived in.
A month later, I had my divorce certificate,
and I was done with all my paperwork for my
studies abroad, just waiting for my flight.
The week before I was due to leave, my
girlfriend’s grandfather was turning another
year older, and I was going to go to his party.
