Chapter 7
The next day was group activity filming for all contestants.
Walking into the dining area, I overheard conversations inside.
The regular husband was saying “Staff said Mr. Crawford slept on the couch last night. I thought celebrities did these divorce shows just for publicity, but they seem pretty real”
The regular wife sighed. “If I had such a rich husband, I wouldn’t care if he had time for me or how many mistresses he kept. As long as the money’s good, Id even personally care for his pregnant girlfriend!
“So you’re saying I don’t make enough?”
“Well, can you compare to even his smallest toe?”
The male singer tried to mediate good–naturedly. “Every family has their struggles. We can all understand”
The female singer, known for her sharp tongue, habitually snapped at her husband:
“Oh, now you understand? I can’t. Marrying for money then complaining about lack of emotional support – isn’t that wanting to have your cake and eat it too?”
I walked in.
The regular couple and male singer saw me and smiled awkwardly.
The female singer snorted and walked out clutching her guitar,

The male singer whispered, “Me”
I nodded. Not hard to guess.
The regular wife spoke up loudly: “Rachel, I apologize tool”
Her husband quickly added, “Me tool
I waved it off with a smile.
It’s fine. We obviously have issues, o or we wouldn’t be here.”
The three nodded vigorously.
“Right, right”
“We have personality conflicts.”
“We fight about money all the time, both want to divorce.”
After speaking, they all looked at me.
I spread my hands and shrugged.
“Don’t love him anymore!
Everyone burst out laughing.
“Rachel, I used to think you were arrogant and had a bad temper, but you’re actually really nice! The regular wife came over to link arms with me, staring at me intently. “And you’re so beautiful, even more beautiful than on screen”
“Thank you for the compliment I said sincerely

past two years, my life had been filled with increasingly negative public suppression.
And because of his attitude, the contempt and disdain from those around him.
It had been so long since I’d heard sincere praise from anyone.
Yet once upon a time, I had been crowned “Queen of Smiles” by netizens for my bright, radiant smile.
“Rachel, isn’t that the woman who dropped Marcus off yesterday?‘ The regular wife suddenly pointed at the floor–to–ceiling window.
I looked over.
Victoria stood alone under a tree by the road. She had clearly been standing there for a long time. The harsh autumn wind was bitterly cold, and she wore only a thin trench coat. She was visibly shivering, her face pale, looking utterly pitiful.
I was puzzled.
Where was Marcus?
