Chapter 4
I was still half–asleep when Mervi shook me awake.
“Loviisa, get the fuck up and check Instagram. You’re all over the trending page!”
I squinted at my phone. The top trending hashtags:
#Hyperion CEO Screwing Mistress In Study
#Mrs Hyperion Loses Her Shit And Runs Away
The entire internet was dragging Sherry for being a homewrecker. Her Instagram crashed under the
flood of hate comments.
Which meant one thing–she did this herself.
I couldn’t understand why she’d throw herself into the fire like this.
Until Caspian showed up and slapped me across the face without a second thought.
“You vindictive bitch! Now I get it–this is why you didn’t react last night, huh? You’d already planned this whole fucking thing! You set Sherry up!”
“You’re coming with me. You’re going to the hospital to apologize to her. She has depression, Loviisa. You pushed her to slit her wrists!”
“Thank God I got there in time to save her. She’s so kind–hearted that despite you ruining her career, the only thing she wants is a apology to clear her name.”
Clear her name? I laughed bitterly at Caspian’s words.
“Are you seriously asking if she’s innocent? You of all people should know the truth.”
But Caspian didn’t give me any choice, dragging me to the hospital.
At the hospital, Sherry was sprawled out on the bed like a tragic heroine, her wrist wrapped in fresh bandages.
Cameras flashed. Microphones were shoved toward me.
“Mrs. Hyperion, is it true you fabricated those photos?”
“Mrs. Hyperion, is Ms. Argent really your husband’s mistress?”

As I was about to respond, Caspian grabbed my wrist and whispered in my ear, his voice dangerously low.
“You know what to say, Loviisa. Don’t fucking test me.”
My wound hadn’t healed, but I couldn’t even feel the pain anymore.
I yanked my hand away from him, my smile mocking.
“Don’t worry, Mr. Hyperion. I’m here to clean things up.”
Then, in front of everyone, I bowed deeply to Sherry.
“Ms. Argent, I’m so sorry. You’re not a homewrecker. You were merely discussing business with Mr. Hyperion last night.”
It was me–I was jealous and bitter, so I deliberately took misleading photos and uploaded them. I even paid for bots to attack you on social media.”
I bowed to her again.
“Ms. Argent, from the beginning, you and Mr. Hyperion have been completely innocent. I was jealous and used underhanded tactics to frame you. Please forgive me.”
With each word I spoke, Sherry’s face grew paler.
A reporter jumped to her defense.
“Mrs. Hyperion, your apology sounds completely insincere! Look how traumatized Ms. Argent is because of you!”
Sherry seized the moment, clinging to her role as the victim.
She clutched at her hair and curled into herself, her voice shaking like a leaf.
“I’m not a mistress! I’m not a homewrecker! I’m just an admirer of Mr. Hyperion. If loving someone is a
crime, then I’d rather just die…”
Caspian, afraid she might hurt herself, pulled her into his arms.
“Shh, don’t say that. Loving someone isn’t wrong, Sherry. Stop blaming yourself.”
And then, his cold, unforgiving gaze turned on me.
“Loviisa, kneel. Apologize to her!”
Sherry hid in his embrace, her lips curling with smug satisfaction.
