Chapter 7
I was adopted by the Belasco family to be their brainless heir’s future wife,
I didn’t want to waste my life like that.
So I set my sights on Romana Hyperion., the chairwoman of Hyperion Group. If I could get close to her, I’d finally have a shot at freedom.
One day, she had a severe panic attack on the street.
Bystanders were afraid of getting involved in a lawsuit, so nobody helped her.
But I didn’t hesitate. I carried her on my back and ran straight to the hospital.
When she woke up, Romana took a liking to me and wanted me to marry her brother.
She arranged for me to meet Caspian.
And that’s when I realized–he was the same senior I had once loved in college.
Back then, he had been kind to me. Interested. It wasn’t one–sided.
But one week before the wedding, he found out I had intentionally gotten close to Romana.
He wrongly assumed that saving his sister was also calculated on my part.
Convinced I was just after the wealthy socialite position, his attitude toward me changed dramatically.
After we married, he even refused to make our marriage legally official.
“Loviisa,” he said, “marrying into the Hyperion family is already the best thing that’ll ever happen to you. You only deserve to be Mrs. Hyperion in name. Don’t push your luck.”
As for the baby?
That wasn’t even his choice.
Romana had begged me to give the family an heir before I left.
A year ago, I was already exhausted and wanted to leave.
The Hyperion family had few descendants, and Romana asked me to give Caspian a child before I left.

But Caspian despised me so much that after our wedding night, he never touched me again.
So Romana drugged Caspian and locked us in the bedroom together.
When Caspian woke up, he misunderstood the situation even more.
Even though he knew Romana had drugged him, he still believed I had manipulated her into doing it.
The day I found out I was pregnant, Caspian dragged me to the hospital for an abortion, his face dark with anger.
“Loviisa, who the hell do you think you are to carry my child? You? A manipulative, scheming bitch? No fucking way. We’re getting rid of it today.”
As I lay on the operating table, Romana burst in and stopped Caspian.
Years of misunderstandings were clarified in that moment. Caspian couldn’t believe it and choked up.
“It was my fault… I never believed her… not once.”
“Snap the fuck out of it, Caspian! She’s gone! She loved you more than anything, and you never even gave her a fucking chance! The least you can do is pay your damn respects.”
Aher hearing Romana’s words, Caspian finally pulled himself together, tidied himself up, and went to my memorial service.
1lay in the coffin, my face pale and swollen from the seawater, my features barely recognizable.
Caspian held my hand, confessing his regrets.
Loviisa 1fucked up. 1 fucked up so bad. How could you punish me by taking your own life?”
When he noticed the red birthmark on my arm, his face froze in shock.
He turned sharply to Romana, his voice shaking.
Sh. Loviisa’s birthmark wasn’t there. This isn’t Loviisa!”
