Ash gazed at Calvert, her lips curling into a sneer as she bit down on his prominent Adam’s apple the next second. She was mturiated and showed no mercy.
Calvert hissed in pain and pushed her away forcefully. Holding his neck, he looked at the specks of blood on his palm and frowned deeply. “Are you crazy?”
Ash ground her teeth angrily and glared at him, responding coldly. “Get lost!”
Just then, the elevator arrived at the first floor. Ash stomped on his foot and squeezed through the gap before the doors fully opened.

Feeling groggy, she answered the call somewhat irritably, “Who is it?” The person on the other end immediately recognized that Ash was still half asleep and spoke more softly. “Ms. Turner, there’s been an issue with the Moreno family.”

Jade shook her head and moved aside.
Noticing Brooke didn’t look well. Ash handed her a business card. “I know this traditional medicine practitioner quite well, you might want to see him.”
The card bore only an address, no name
“Mom’s condition is more severe than most people’s; ordinary practitioners can’t cure her. I’ve already asked my friend to lind Dr. Prunella Gross, the only one who can treat Mom now,” Jade suddenly said, her words laced with disdain for Ash
Ash glanced at her but remained silent

“Mom, I’m going out,” Ash announced before leaving the house.
She took a taxi directly to the Moreno family’s company. Just as he was about to enter, a blaring car horn startled her.
Ash stopped and turned to see Tristan’s Maybach whizzing past her before parking nearby.
Ash’s eyes flickered briefly but didn’t linger, instead turning toward the building’s elevator.

It really was annoying people doing annoying things. Samantha and Tristan followed closely behind Ash into the elevator.
“Jewel, if I remember correctly, you no longer have any connection with the Moreno family, do you? What brings you here again?” Tristan, still upset about their last encounter, addressed Ash with less cordiality than before.

Watching the two of them tag–team each other, Ash could hardly contain her eye–rolling. She hadn’t said a word from beginning to end, yet these two were putting on a show.
Ash remained silent, tuning out the two completely.
Feeling ignored and humiliated, Samantha clenched her teeth, chung to Tristan, and whined, “Is Ash still holding a grudge against me?”
Unable to take it anymore, Ash glanced at Samantha “You really know how to overact. It’s just a few floors and you’ve already put on a whole movie. Even the best actors aren’t as dedicated as you.”
Samantha’s face turned pale in an instant.
Noticing Samantha’s teary, vulnerable look, Tristan immediately comforted her with a hug and a pat on the back, then turned his stern gaze on Ash. “Do you have to be so harsh?”
Ash felt helpless. ‘Oh my god, can’t the two just disappear?
The elevator continued its ascent, and thankfully, it reached the 22nd floor. Ash stepped out without hesitation. Her indifference left Tristan feeling frustrated. She seems to have truly let go, decisively leaving no room for us “Tristan?” Samantha called several times, but Tristan was so absorbed in thoughts of Ash that he didn’t hear her. Watching Ash walk away, a flicker of hatred crossed Samantha’s eyes.
In the CEO’s office, Dexter just received news of Shadow Ventures pulling out their funding. He panicked
For years, Shadow Ventures had been unconditionally supporting them from behind the scenes, never hesitating even when projects failed. Now, without this financial backer, Dexter didn’t know what to do next.

“Have you managed to contact the person in charge at Shadow Ventures?” Dexter asked anxiously.
His secretary shook his head. They’ve refused all contact,”
“Mr. Moreno, the person in charge at Nova Holdings said they want to schedule a meeting to terminate our contract.”
“Mr. Moreno, AquaVista Corporation has canceled their cooperation…
Dexter had received several such calls that morning. He couldn’t understand why, following one project’s failure, people were queuing up to cancel their collaborations with him. He started to wonder if he had offended someone.
Regardless, we can’t lose Shadow Ventures, Dexter thought to himself. Then he instructed his secretary, “Keep trying to reach the person in charge at Shadow Ventures”
As soon as Ash entered, she noticed the commotion within the company.
Initially, she came to assess the situation. If it was just a minor mistake, she was willing to continue investing. After all, having the upper hand over the Moreno family and spending money for pleasure was something she enjoyed.
But as soon as she approached, Dexter flew into a rage for no apparent reason. “What are you doing here? Are you trying to make things worse for me? Or did you come to gloat over my misfortune? Jewel, since when did you become so mercenary? Call security; get her out of here!”
